Bathtime for Baby!

These are just a couple of cute pics of the Banana having a bath in the kitchen sink. She had a great time splashing water all over everywhere. She did get clean eventually.

So long for the summer to Sunday School

We closed out our FIFTH year of Sunday School this weekend with a wonderful last class and end-of-year picnic. All the kids were good listeners while Miss Joan read a story, they worked hard on their crafts and clapped for each other when special prizes were handed out at the end. Miss M, a Sunday School alum, was on hand to help the younger kids. The teachers expressed their gratitude to Miss (Aunt) Joan for all her hard work these past five years, since this is her last year. She helped make this one another great Sunday School year. C.B. is already looking forward to the next one when he will be old enough to go with Big D - yeah!

Our Boy is an Olympic Champion!

Big D had his last preschool class with Miss Anne today. It was a fun day where the kids got to be Olympic athletes for the day. They performed tricks on the mini-trampoline, guided a flying disc through a hoop, scored goals using hockey sticks, and even ran on old-fashioned foot race. All the children did such a good job they were given gold medals for their accomplishments. It was such a great day. We'll miss you, Miss Anne!

Not Quite American Idol

Miss M's School Picnic is this weekend, and they kicked off the celebration last night with a Talent Show. Some of the girls from Miss M's class got together and learned a dance which they performed with great enthusiasm. They had a great time and they looked pretty good up there on the stage, although our pictures didn't really turn out so well.

A Typical Monday Morning??

This morning was like any other Monday. We slept a little longer than we should have, woke Miss M for school a little later than we should have, and then had to tell her to hurry up way more than we should have. Unlike most mornings, however, C.B. woke up under his bed today instead of in it. How he fell out and rolled underneath without waking up is beyond me.

Banana's awakening was a bit unusual as well. She had wet through her diaper, which in itself isn't really unusual. But since we have been DOUBLE diapering this super-peeing child it seemed a little strange. Well, it turns out that I had to change this incredibly full diaper over the sink because of all the cellulose that was squishing out of it. It was all over Banana and it was yucky! Why did I take a picture of it? I honestly don't know.

My sons, the Jedi

Lightsabers have been the thing at our house lately. Fortunately the boys have been doing surprisingly well with them, otherwise we wouldn't have them around anymore. Jedi Master Dad has taught them well in the ways of the Force, so there haven't been any serious lightsaber injuries. Just take a look at these two handsome Jedi knights.

My BIG girl!

Banana is already six months old. She is sitting up with no help and is having fun being able to hold (and throw) toys. I can't believe how quickly these things happen. Just look at how BIG she is!
